About the Head Staff

Eloy ¨Luco¨Navarro-Java

Head Shaman

Eloy is a native of Jenaro Herrera, the small Amazon jungle village off the river where the program is located. It is a simple life there, and he is a simple man, where the joy and wisdom of love and life shine through refreshingly clear. He is a person who understands the world in a way academics cannot teach, learning from the plants, the Amazon, and the

Spirit World directly.

He began his apprenticeship with the Ayahuasca in 1982 , when he was just fifteen years old, under his older brother Celiz (passed several years ago), then continued under the powerfully renowned Julio Gerena-Pinedo (passed 2007.) The Medicine his become his path and life purpose ever since. Being exposed to "Western" issues through work with his brother and Don Julio, he has a strong command of how to manage these strong forces in Ceremony.

He was also trained by the Peruvian army, so on top of being a very wise shaman and master of plant identification, he is an expert on jungle survival in the Amazon as well. He served for several years as a professional guide for both military expeditions and tourism.
As a person, he is happy, fun, and loves to laugh. He is a music fanatic and has an incredible collection of CDs that people have brought him from all over the world.

He appreciates deeply the connections with the friends he makes through Infinite Light, and spiritually supports everyone who comes through well after they have left Peru. The size of heart is commendable.

He understands a little English, but can simplify his Spanish to a level even the basic level speaker can communicate with. Just in case, however, there is always someone at the program to interpret.

Luco Navarro is truly someone who, if you are open to it, will be your best friend almost immediately. He does not believe in the hierarchy of the "Master Shaman" phenomenon, as his humble strength allows him to keep learning until the day he dies. He encourages all of us have our own journey, and speak from personal experience. He is truly someone you will never forget.

Meghan Shannon

Shamanic Apprentice/Program Coordinator

Meghan Shannon was born and raised in Northern Virginia (suburbs of Washington DC.) Though she was loved and supported by her family, she struggled growing up, working to overcome obesity since childhood (leading to mild eating disorders - see picture below), depression, and profound feelings of insecurity and a general feeling of being "screwed up". She turned to drugs, alcohol and sex for self-medication, and eventually began to approach the problems from the inside-out.

From 200-2003, Meghan attended Gallaudet University (for the Deaf) in the Hearing Undergraduate Student Program. She had gradually improved while in psychotherapy, then made intense changes at Iyanla Vanzant´s Inner Visions Institute for Spiritual Development. Her experiences there prepared her as her Life Purpose unfolded...part of which involved supporting people through their growth in Ayahuasca.

Meghan has been working intensely with the Medicine since August of 2007, when she met Eloy. Working though them, the spirit of the Medicine created Infinite Light. Currently, Meghan lives back and forth between her two homes (the Amazon and Northern Virginia) assisting with the program even while in the US. She continues to be blown away by the wonders of the Universe that the Ayahuasca has allowed her to see.

Currently, she is a happy, lively person who is enjoying the continuing journey, this time with eyes wide open. She loves nature, travel, photography, and spending time with those she loves.
